 2)     How can donors or fundraisers make a complaint?

 

  • At WeGive, we love to speak with our customers and hear all your feedback. If you need help using our platform, or have any questions or concerns, please contact us via the Support link on the app or visit www.wegiveventures.com/support

  • You can also contact us through the Contact Us page on our website: www.wegiveventures.com/contact-us 

  • We will acknowledge the receipt of your email the same day.  We will do our best to get back to you within 5 working days with a remedy to your situation.

  • If you are unhappy with the outcome of your response from us, please feel free to contact the Fundraising Regulator to log your complaint. You can contact them by emailing admin@fundraisingregulator.org.uk or calling 0300 999 3407 (Mon to Fri, 09.30 am – 4.30 pm).

3) How are donations protected against fraud and how can donors be sure their contribution is being used for its intended purpose?

  • WeGive uses Charities Trust, one of the most respected charity payment providers in the UK, to process all donations. Charities Trust is a registered charity (No: 327489) and company (No: 2142757). You can find more information about them at charitiestrust.org. Charities Trust is fully compliant and is regulated by the FCA and approved by HMRC. Using Charities Trust as our payment services provider protects every donation against fraud.

  • Appropriate due diligence and AML/KYC has been followed for every charity at the point of onboarding and further periodic review

4) Our policy on refunds

  • Our donation partner, Charities Trust has a clear process by which refunds can be processed. 

  • Refund requests can be made in writing by completing our online contact form at www.wegiveventures.com/contact-us All requests will be responded to within 2 working days.

  • Before refunds can be processed we need to confirm that the funds have been received by Charities Trust and cleared through the banking system. Timescales for confirmation of cleared funds will vary depending on the payment method used. Refund timescales are detailed below.

  • All refunds will be made to the initiating card or account.

  • Debit / Credit Card (Excluding American Express) | 7 Working days

  • American Express | 16 Working days

  • Cheque | 7 Working days

  • Standing Order | 5 Working days

  • Online Banking Payment | 5 Working days

1)     How much of each donation will reach the charity?

 

  • WeGive Ventures Limited is a private limited company registered in England and Wales. Our Company Number is 11504779 and we are registered at 29/30 Fitzroy Square, London, United Kingdom, W1T 6LQ. We own and operate the WeGive platform and have licensed its use to WeGive Trading Limited. (WeGive UK)

  • WeGive UK is a private limited company registered in England and Wales. Our Company Number is 11504779 and we are registered at 29/30 Fitzroy Square, London, United Kingdom, W1T 6LQ.

  •  WeGive receives 1% on each donation as a platform fee  - a much smaller rate than any other fundraising platforms. 

  • There are also payment processing fees levied by our payment processing partner of 4% . 

  • Gift Aid is one of our key focuses at WeGive. For every £1 donated, we will claim an extra 25p for the charity on your behalf. Therefore, if a WeGive user (and basic-rate taxpayer) donates £10, the enhanced donation to charity will be £12.50.  

  • There are no charges to charities.
